If I could have graded this and given an A++++++++ I would have . . .

This is fan-freaking-tabulous! Absolutely wonderful clarity and light throughout the bird's feathers, photo-quality. I love how the background foliage is rather 'blurred' in comparison . . . this really makes the image of the bird stand out even more.

It looks like a cockatoo only it's not? What type of bird is it then?

I can't really critique this at all because there's nothing that I would like to see changed, although maybe the feathers at the back of the neck are a little too ruffled?

Good lord! I don't think I've ever seen a painting so photorealistic in my life.

As somebody who has worked extensively with hookbills of all sorts, the only gripe that I have with this piece is that the beak doesn't look quite right. It wouldn't appear that way in nature, at least from birth. However, it's possible the beak was injured in some way and that's why it looks like that.

Anyhow... wow. Stunning work.

Ah MG, how long must this have taken to do?! The detail is amazing and the dark and rough looking background really helps to bring it out. The contrast with the white and dark-green is great too, and brings you whole attention to what is among the best original style paintings I'v seen on Devart. Ex work! ^~
